Death of Estimable Colored Woman

The death of Mrs. Mattie Yarborough, an estimable colored woman of this city and wife of Hilliard H. Yarborough, a well-known barber here occurred Saturday night at 10 o’clock. The funeral, which was under the direction of the Odd Fellows, Masonic and Order of Eastern Star took place form the Presbyterian Church Monday at 4 p.m. The eulogy was delivered by the Rev. G.C. Shaw of Oxford, who spoke from the 10^th verse of the chapter of Corinthians. His effort was noble and instructive.

The remains were laid to rest amidst of shower of beautiful flowers in the presence of a large concourse of friends and sorrowing relatives.
