Wife Sues
Commissioner of Agriculture for Support Pending Divorce
Raleigh, Sept. 12—Social and political circles are agog
today over the civil action that has been started in the superior court by Mrs.
Sallie Clark Graham against her husband, Major W.A. Graham, state commissioner
of agriculture, for support while they are separated.
It is understood that Mrs. Graham is asking for an allowance
of $100 per month pending the hearing of a divorce suit which is filed.
Major Graham and his wife have been separated for three
weeks, during which time he has been staying in a hotel here. The family
troubles had not become public although it was known by friends that the two
had separated.
