The song of the Fish will soon be heard and his song sung up and down the banks of the Roanoke again. Yes, a herring would go alright and a white shad would be so good as to be shocking, especially to newspaper folks who aren’t used to many good things to eat. Let us hope that herrings will be plentiful and that shad will be cheap. Some few fish are now being caught.
