Rabid Dog at 410 Post Street, Feb. 13, 1921

A mad dog scare occurred Saturday morning at 410 Post street and vicinity and resulted in the dog’s death. J.L. Crocker and family live there. A strange dog was observed by some member of the family about the premises and its actions attracted attention.

Mr. Crocker went out to investigate and the dog tried to attack him. He shot the dog. It was of the shepherd dog variety. Mr. Crocker ‘phoned for the city sanitary department to come and get the body. The animal was accompanied by another dog.

Because of the report of mad dogs in several parts of the county recently and also n the city, Mr. Crocker took no chances on the dog’s getting away.
