The annual reunion of the Hunter family, which is widely known in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Iredell and other counties, will be held at Derita August 25. Music, songs, recitations and an address by Rev. Daniel Iverson, pastor of Tenth Avenue Presbyterian church, are to be on the program, which is being prepared by Rev. W.M. Hunter of Charlotte, and others.
A long table will be erected, on which a picnic dinner will be served. All members of the family and friends and relatives have been invited.
The family in this section is descended from Henry and Martha Sloan Hunter, who came from Ireland to America in 1774. The old family homestead being located not far from Derita.
