Application will be made to the Governor of North Carolina for the pardon of Walter Taylor, convicted in the June Term Halifax Superior Court for the crime of manufacturing liquor, illicitly, and sentenced to the roads of Halifax County for a term of six months. All persons who oppose the granting of such pardon are invited to forward their protests to the Governor without delay.
