Pvt. Webb, Who Died Near Verdun, Returned Home for Burial, Aug. 18, 1921

Soldier Remains Brought Home

The remains of Private Isaac Lee Webb, who died near Verdun, France, Nov. 1, 1918, were brought to this city for interment.

The funeral was conducted at the First Baptist church Sunday afternoon by Rev. E.I. Olive and interment made in Oakdale cemetery.

The young man came here from Carroll county, Virginia, several years before the war. He was a brother of our townsman A.G. Webb.

He was a member of Company H 359 Infantry and died of wounds received in battle.

The Woodmen of the World and American Legion attended the funeral in a body, the Legion having charge of the service at the grave.
