Presbyterian Missionaries Visiting Mrs. C.N.G. Butt, Aug. 7, 1921

Mrs. Butt to Have Visitors From China Mr. and Mrs. J. Mercer Blain and their attractive young daughters, Misses Margaret and Elizabeth Grier Blain of Hangchow, China, came to the city Wednesday on a visit to Mrs. C.N.G. Butt, sister of Mrs. Blain. Mr. and Mrs. Blain and daughters arrived in the States from China a few weeks ago and are with Mrs. Blain’s father, Dr. Samuel A. Grier, at the old Grier home in Rocky River. Mr. and Mrs. Blain are missionaries of the Presbyterian church in China. This is their first visit home in eight years, and only their second or third visit since going to the foreign field. They have hundreds of friends in Charlotte, and their home coming is always anticipated with the keenest pleasure. Miss Elizabeth Grier Blain is to spend the winter in Charlotte with her aunt, Mrs. Butt, for whom she is named. From The Charlotte News, Sunday, Aug. 7, 1921
