Miss Leona Lewis Has Looks And Brains, June 9, 1922

She Has the Looks and Is There With Books

Miss Leona Lewis

Here’s a peach of a little girl who has upset all the traditions about brains and beauty not mixing. She has the unique distinction of having been voted the prettiest girl in the Senior Class of the Elizabeth City High School this year and of having made the highest average in all studies in her class, and the highest average made by any student in the school in recent years. Miss Lewis is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Lewis, Pennsylvania Ave. and Burgess St., this city. She will enter college next fall and equip herself for teaching. Photo by Zoeller.
