Winston-Salem, Aug. 13—Mr. Hazel M. Saunders died yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock at his home, 335 Cascade Avenue, at the age of 55 years He had been in declining health for some time and last week underwent an operation for cancer of the stomach. The deceased had been confined to his home for about six weeks.
Mr. Saunders was well known here and had a host of friends. He is survived by his wife and several brothers and sisters. The funeral services will take place from the Home Moravian church Monday morning at 11 o’clock, conducted by Bishop Edward Rondthaler, Rev. E.A. Holton, Rev. Edmund Schwarze and Rev. H.B. Johnson. Interment will be made in the Moravian graveyard.
