Mrs. Lucindy Greenhill, aged 89 years, died yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the home of her son, N.W. Greenhill, with whom she has made her home since the death of her husband. Death was caused by a complication of diseases attendant upon old age.
The deceased was born on March 21, 1833. She was a highly respected and beloved woman of her section of the city and by her kind and gentle ways won the love of all with whom she came in contact.
Surviving her are four sons and 21 grand children. The sons are D.B. of Salisbury, P.E. of Charlotte, and N.W. and A.E. of Durham.
Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 2 o’clock by Rev. Mr. Ewing, pastor of the Branson Methodist church. Interment will be in Maplewood cemetery.
