Rapid wane of influenza was reported from some localities today. Medical men reported fewer new cases in this city. Hundreds suffered from the disease in a mild form between December 15 and January 15. Deaths from “influenza-pneumonia” are known to have numbered more than 12 in Lenoir and Greens counties, with a scattering of fatal cases of the combination in other counties of the local group. Fewer cases were believed to exist today than at any time since the middle of December.
