The Midway Monroeton Woman’s Club met with Mrs. A.J. Dixon on December 27, 1922, with a very good attendance. We were sorry that every one could not be present as this was a business meeting of great importance.
The adoption of a constitution and bylaws was discussed and a committee was appointed to draw up same which will be read at our next meeting.
After the business meeting we had a great time when the Jack Horner pie was brought in and everyone pulled a string and such a variety of things as did come forth.
After a little guessing contest, which I am sure everyone enjoyed, Mrs. Dixon served delicious sandwiches and grape juice, assisted by her nieces, Misses Juanita Crowder and Effie Vanden of Sanford. Everyone voted Mrs. Dixon a charming hostess.
Our next meeting will be with Mrs. Z.W. Griffin on January 24 at 2 p.m. Please let us all take more interest and show it by going to these meetings and going early.
