Jack Glover, colored, killed James Williams, colored, Sunday night at the former’s home between Caroleen and Forest City about 9 o’clock. Glover was brought to jail while the body of Williams was brought to the local undertakers.
Glover lives with his half sister, Ella Norris, on the land of Mr. J.K.M. Randall. He lived with Mr. George W. Rollins last year. Williams worked with Mr. Joe Price, who lives near Caroleen. Both are single. Glover is about 48 years old while Williams is much younger.
It seems that Williams was jealous of Dennis Norris, son of Ellis Norris, over a colored girl. He had made threats as to what he would do, etc.
