In connection with the Pinehurst Races on Wednesday, March 21st, a special attraction will be staged under the auspices of the American Legion, which will be of interest to all Sandhillers as well as to our guests.
According to prognostications, the miles of peach orchards will be in bloom on the above date, and it seems fitting that we should celebrate the occasion.
Among the entertainment features will be a parade consisting of Floats decorated with Peach Blossoms and other spring flowers, and a series of stunts taken part in the Legion Members from different sections of the Sandhills, consisting of a potato race, a mule race, a robin hood jilting contest and an obstacle race.
It is hoped by the American Legion to make the Peach Blossom Festival an annual affair, and they assure everybody a good time on Wednesday, March 21st, at 2:45 p.m. at the Pinehurst Race Track.
