Master Frederick S. Brooks Jr. and Master Maurice Jackson Brooks were charming little hosts to quite a few of their friends last Friday afternoon, May 18, at their home on Branner Avenue. This occasion was in celebration of the two boys’ birthdays, Frederick being three years old on Monday, May 14, and Maurice Jackson one year old on Friday, May 18.
After playing games the children were served ice cream and cake and candy. There were two tables arranged at which the children ate their refreshments. In the center of one was a cake with three candles on it and in the center of the other was a cake with one candle on it.
The children enjoying this birthday party were: Mary Penland McCracken, Evelyn and Tom Reynolds, Ruth Green, Emmett Green, Frances and Marcus Rose, Ralph Moore, Victor Nobeck, Robert and Josephine Plott, Doris McCracken, James Stevenson, Marie and Carmen Plott, Sara Jane Walker, Katherine and Martha Queen, Chas. Jones Jr., Elsie Smathers and May Crawford.
