The McCrary Company has dug a ditch nine feet deep, through very hard rock, on Harris street. Down in this trench the heat is intense, and the men working on it say that often they have to come up for air.
This company is working rapidly to complete the work they started here, and in spite of unlooked for obstacles, they are rushing the water and sewerage work to completion.
