Elder J. Adams, 91, Dies of Pneumonia, March 20, 1924

Elder Adams Dies at His Home in Angier

Angier, March 17—Elder J. Adams, for 53 years a minister in the Primitive Baptist church, died at his home here this afternoon of pneumonia. He was 91 years old. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o’clock. He spent his entire life in this county and before becoming a minister was engaged in farming and school teaching.

His wife died several years ago. he is survived by one brother, W.H. Adams of Raleigh, and three sisters, Mrs. Isabella Denning, Mrs. Ellie Wilson of Angier and Mrs. Emmie Young of Durham.
