Hugh D. Pendleton died Friday morning about 5 o’clock at his home on Cherry street after a long illness. Mr. Pendleton was 56 years old. More than a year ago he suffered a stroke of paralysis from which he never recovered. He has not been able to walk since and has suffered several other strokes in the last two weeks.
Until the time of his first stroke more than a year ago, Mr. Pendleton had been ticket agent for many years at the Norfolk Southern passenger station.
He is survived by his wife; one niece, Mrs. Thomas Meads of Weeksville; and a nephew, Lynn Pendleton, also of Weeksville.
The funeral will be conducted at the home Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock by Dr. S.H. Templeman and interment made at Hollywood Cemetery.
