News from Faith, N.C., in the Concord Tribune, March 18, 1924

Country Correspondence: Faith

Here is a letter we received today from Washington, D.C.:

Dear Venus:--

I am the boy that fixed your shoes at the Ball Shoe Store in Salisbury. Another boy and myself have started around the world. Give you an item for the newspapers back home. We saw President Coolidge this morning and he was glad to see boys from North Carolina, and said he had heard of you.

From J.C. Vann and Bob Parker.

The Reformed Church people here expect soon to be in their new granite church, as arrangements have been made to finish it soon.

The Lutheran Church people have made the new sidewalks around and in front of their church and covered part of the front yard and walks with pure, fine granite. This will never get muddy. It is a beautiful yard now.

Send all your news to Venus, Salisbury, N.C., Route 3, Box 10.
