Raleigh, June 5—John S. Hightower, former president of the defunct Central Bank & Trust Company of Raleigh was acquitted at his third trial on a charge of receiving deposits when he knew the bank to be insolvent.
The first verdict of guilty had been set aside by the judge and the second by the Supreme Cout, which granted a new trial.
