Jack White Believed to be in Durham, July 20, 1924

Negro In Durham Is Wanted in Memphis

The police department is in receipt of a telegram from Memphis asking that it be on the lookout for Jack White, alias Harry Hicks, who is wanted in that city on a charge of kidnapping and impersonating an officers. The wire states that people there got a letter postmarked at Durham stating that he was here and had bought a car, intending to drive it b ack through the country. Efforts to locate him here have been unavailing.
