Senator Stubbs Has a Narrow Escape from Serious Injury

Raleigh, Aug. 11—Senator Harry Stubbs of Martin escaped injury altogether last night while lookers on expected to see him ground to powder. The senator was luxuriating in front of the Yarborough when a woman driving an automobile allowed the machine to jump the sidewalk. The auto knocked him from his chair and got him down under it, but did not hurt him.
