Washington, Aug. 22—Northeast storm warnings have been ordered displayed from Jupiter Inlet, Fla., to Cape Hatteras, the weather bureau announced tonight. Caution was advised for all vessels between Cape Hatteras and the Bahamas. The tropical storm was said to be central about 28:30 north and 75:30 west, and moving very slowly northwestward.
A dangerous shifting gale was said to be in the vicinity of the storm center.
