Charlotte, Dec. 19—Crossing the street in a pouring rain with her view cut off by an umbrella, Miss Annie Fisher, 75, member of one of North Carolina’s most prominent families, was struck and killed by a west bound Elizabeth City street car at the corner of Cecil Street and Elizabeth Avenue tonight. Miss Fisher was almost instantly killed.
Miss Fisher formerly lived in Salisbury but has lived here for the past seven years. She is survived by a brother, Frederick Fisher, of Bryson City. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
