James O. Kirkman, the 14-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. C.T. Kirkman of Liberty, Route 1, died the 16th of December. The funeral services were conducted at White’s Chapel Thursday by Rev. James Edwards. Beautiful tributes were paid to the life of the youth. He was much loved in the home, the church, community and school and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his mother and father and grandparents, he is survived by three brothers, Worth, Richard, Russell; six sisters, Mrs. May Lineberry of Burlington, Mrs. Vallie Millikan of Climax, Misses Vesta, Ruth, Dorothy, and Carolina.
The pallbearers were uncles of the deceased, Harvey, Cecil, Claud, Verlie, John, and Dennis Ward. The flower bearers were Mrs. Claud Ward, Mrs. W.O. York, Misses Ruby and Lolah Ward.
