J.H. Cutter Jr., 15, Tried to Break Fall that Killed Him, Dec. 22, 1925

Fatally Injured Getting Mistletoe

Charlotte, Dec. 21—J.H. Cutter Jr., 15, son of the Charlotte capitalist, died today from injuries suffered Saturday when he fell more than 50 feet from a tree where he was gathering Christmas mistletoe.

Young Cutter is thought to have fallen head first, and to have sought to break the fall by extending his arms as both of these were broken. Internal injuries also were sustained.
