Bring Gifts to Poor to Community Tree Lighting Dec. 24, 1925

The Community Tree. . . Celebration Will Take Place on Campus Late This Afternoon

The Community Christmas Tree celebration takes place this (Thursday) afternoon just before supper time. The same campus tree that has done service for years—near the pharmacy building on the open square that fronts the main street of the village—will be brilliantly illuminated by scores of colored electric bulbs.

Two hundred stockings have been filled with oranges, apples, and candy, and will be given out to the smaller children. There will be singing.

The celebration is timed to follow the pageant at the Episcopal church, which starts at 5:15.

Everybody who has a gift for the poor is asked to bring it directly to the tree. The gifts will be distributed by the King’s Daughters.
