Died from pneumonia in France in the Service of His Country

When the bugle call sounded the call to arms this brave colored man responded in defense of his country and died that others might live.

THE SEVENTEENTH TO FALL

PRIVATE GEO. R. YELVERTON

Son of

Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Yelverton

Of Stantonsburg Township, Wilson County

Died of wounds received in action while fighting for his beloved country.
