THE EIGHTEENTH TO FALL

PRIVATE JOHN L. PENDER

Son of
Mr. and Mrs. James T. Pender

Died of disease while serving his country.

He sleeps in France
Where the Lillies Bloom
Those flowers pale
That guard each tomb.

THE NINETEENTH TO FALL

PRIVATE HENRY ELLIS

Son of
Mrs. Mary J. Howard

Died of wounds received in action while fighting for his country and oppressed humanity.

The ir honor lives
Their love endures
Their noble death
The right assures.
