“Farmer” Scott to
South America
Mr. A.H. Scott, better known as “Farmer” Scot, has left
Badin to take up work on the Aluminum Company’s properties in South America.
“Scotty” has been here since December, 1915, and he will be greatly missed. He
has been with the Aluminum Company for a number of years, having worked at the
plants in Cedars, Quebec, Shawanigan Falls, Massena, Maryville, Niagara Falls,
and Badin.
“Scotty” is one of our “characters”—a man whose exterior
manner is in notable contrast with his inner qualities of his nature. His warm-hearted
generosity and unselfishness were never failing, as likewise his readiness to
help in all times of need.
Scotty will carry with him the best wishes of a host of
friends.

From another article
in this issue, on the Labor Day celebration:
Farmer Scott, with his trained horses, goats, and pigs, had
a very good act—one that showed up the careful training and intelligence of his
animals. Unfortunately the light on the ring was bad, and it could not be
appreciated by the crowd.
