Charlotte, Oct. 6—True bills were found by the Grand Jury Thursday against Dr. William E. Wishart, charged with performing a criminal operation upon a young woman who died afterwards at a local hospital, and against J. Summers, former physician, who is charged with the same offense upon another young woman of the city, formerly employed as a municipal nurse.
These cases will not be tried at the present term of the court. Sheriff Cochran returned Friday from New York, bringing with him the negro Adam Miller, charged with having attempted to outrage Mrs. Vera Finger at her home on Monroe Road during the night of December 17. Miller indicated no desire to fight being returned here for trial and readily identified himself as the man they were looking for.
