Mrs. Viola Morgan will receive $875 as the result of a law suit introduced last week in Guilford Superior Court which charged the city of High Point with negligence causing the death of her 6-yhear-old son, Jack Garfield Morgan, in the Reed street stream in High Point on June 11, 1920. Mrs. Morgan entered suit for the sum of $2,500, but a compromise was reached between the council for plaintiff and the city of High Point. Mrs. Morgan states that she and her young son were on their way home and in crossing the bridge which is without railings the child stepped off the side of the bridge and was drowned.
