Hertford, May 7—The local high school nine met defeat at the hands of Creswell high school team in a fast game on the local diamond Friday afternoon, the score being 5 to 3. Bateman for Creswell and Owens, Stokes and Skinner for Hertford made outstanding plays. Owens struck out eight while Jordan struck out only four; but ability to bunch hits gave the visitors the long end of the score.

Hertford—101 100 000—3 runs, 5 hits, 2 errors
