May 3—The girls have taken up tonsorial work and are bobbing their own hair. Misses Eunice Little and Pearl Hill of the Zion community were visitors in the community on Sunday.
Misses Dora, May and Freddie Hoover and Veda Crook of the Grace community and Messrs. Varnie Crook and James Hill of Charlotte, and Mr. Sanford Morris of Fayetteville spent Sunday with the family of Mr. Joe Hill.
Messrs. Lonnie Clontz, J.C. Hill, Ernest Hill, Alonzo Dixon, and Misses Lizzie Clontz and Pearl Hill attended a song service at the home of Mr. Atlas Simpson at Zion this week.
A memorial service will be held at Union Grove Methodist church on the third Sunday at 3 in the afternoon.
