Costner-Dedmon Wedding

Of interest to a large circle of friends was the marriage Saturday evening of Miss Novella Dedmon and Mr. R. Bloom Costner at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dedmon.

The color scheme of pink and green was tastefully carried out in the decorations, ferns, cut flowers and soft glow of candles forming an improvised altar before which the marriage vows were spoken.

The bride and groom entered together to the strains of Lohengrins Wedding March, rendered by Miss Manie Roberts, and took their places where the ceremony was performed by Rev. John W. Suttle.

The bride was lovely in tailored blue suit with hat and accessories to match.

Mrs. Costner graduated from the Shelby high school in 1921 and has taught in the county schools for the past two years.

The young couple left immediately for the home of the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Costner of Lawndale, where they will make their home for the present.
