Rutherford Hospital Graduate Nurses Organize Alumnae Association, July 10, 1923

Graduate Nurses in Rutherford Organize

Forest City Courier—Rutherford hospital graduate nurses met at the hospital June 28 for the purpose of organizing an alumnae association.

The meeting was addressed by Miss Francis Ott, chairman of the private duty department of the National Association of Nurses.

Following the address organization was perfected by electing Miss Mollie Hopper chairman, and Miss Mamie Hardin, secretary.

Motion was then carried to organize a permanent association. Officers were elected as follows:

Miss Mollie Hopper, president.

Miss Lula Crow, vice president.

Miss Myrtle Hemphill, secretary-treasurer.

The following graduate nurses were present and were made charter members of the alumnae: Misses Mollie Hopper, Lula Crow, Myrtle Hemphill, Vina Rayburn, Hannah Lewis, Julia Abrams, Sue Dobson, Mamie Hardin, Grace Cowan and Mrs. Cora Cowan.
