Charlotte, N.C., March 3—John C. Bethea Jr., 24 years old, a bank teller, of Dillon, S.C., was fatally injured, and B.M. Hamer, a planter of Hammer, S.C., was seriously injured when an automobile driven by Hamer went over an embankment near here today. Bethea died while being brought to a hospital.
Hamer is in a local hospital and is not believed to be fatally injured. Three Davidson College students, also in the car, were slightly hurt.
