With the opening of the tobacco marketing season in this city nearly at hand—September 2nd—Mr. A. Alphin, proprietor of the Farmers Tobacco Warehouse, stated yesterday that he was getting his house in readiness for the opening and expected the biggest and best season in the history of the place.

Mr. Alphin has recently made a visit over the county and immediate tobacco growing section and declares that the majority of the weed he has seen is of an excellent grade and he expects the growers will receive an excellent price for the same.

All of the larger companies will be represented on the floor of the Farmers this season, says the proprietor.
