Local officers broke up a veritable Christmas bar-room Saturday evening when Chief C.R. Cable and others raided the home of Julia Watson, colored, on Railroad street. They found several quarts of whiskey and a large quantity of jugs and bottles that apparently had contained whiskey. Julia Watson was arrested and given a hearing before Mayor Narron. She was bound over to Recorder’s Court under a $200 bond.
