Homer Furr and Willie Heglar are in the county jail today as a result of inability to furnish bond in two charges, selling spiritous liquor and robbery.
The two boys were held by the city police on the former charge while the county authorities retained them on the latter charge. A bond of $500 was required in the first instance and a 41,000 bond in the second.
After selling him liquor, according to the story at the Sheriff’s office, a Mr. Tucker of Stanly county was led off to some nearby woods where the two boys relieved him of over $400 in cash. They were arrested yesterday and brought to the local jail.
