Badin, Feb. 21—Stanly county is claiming native born inventor in the person of C. Ritchie, who has within the last few years perfected several really wonderful mechanical devices for the Tallassee Power Company at Badin.
One of the most important is an automatic whistle blowing machine that operates the big air whistle for the aluminum plant, and does it with any number of times required, at all hours day and night, without attention of any operator.
He has also invited a selector switch, a device for reading the voltage from each pot on a single meter. It is a nicely contrived instrument that seems to have pleased the company very much and is now being made in quantities for all the pot rooms of the bid plant.
