Law Will Put Damper on Elopements, Says Editor, March 10, 1921

The new law requiring a certificate of health before contracting the matrimonial relation will take the romance out of many a Gretna Green affair. Isn’t it rather cruel, and won’t the possessors of the hearts which have been rudely interfered with enjoy casting a ballot against the fellow who helped to make the law?
