Scott Thomas and Reid Garrett of Rockingham were in Charlotte Monday en route to New York by automobile. They are making the trip in an improvised automobile constructed by themselves from various types of cars. Their vehicle is cut down to the racing body style and they are traveling with a minimum of baggage and camping at night.
They left Asheville Monday morning at 11 o’clock and came to Charlotte during the afternoon, taking the trip to New York at 7:30 o’clock. Mr. Thomas was for several years located in Charlotte.
