Dr. J.D. Hufman, "The Baptist Bishop" of North Carolina, Seriously Ill, March 22, 1921

Friends of Dr. J.D. Hufman, who for so long has ministered to the people of this community, and who still holds a large place in the hearts of the old members of his congregation here in Scotland Neck, will be deeply grieved to read the following news item appearing in to-day’s papers.

Mebane, March 22—Dr. J. Dunn Hufham, the “Baptist Bishop” of North Carolina, is seriously ill with pneumonia at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J.R. Singleton, in this place. Dr. Hufham made his home here about seven years ago. He is 87 years old.
