Frank Summers Faces Trial for Killing Manning Ford, Sept. 17, 1922

Frank Summers Faces Trial at Lumberton

By The Associated Press

Lumberton, N.C., Sept. 17—Officers from this place are expected to arrive on the early morning train from Augusta, Ga., with Frank Summers, who confessed to Augusta officers a few days ago to the killing of Manning Ford at Marietta, near here, last February 19.

Nothing is known here of the murder more than is contained in the confession of Summers. However, residents of Marietta state that Ford has been missing since the date on which Summers says he killed him.
