Joe Steele, 68, Has Died, Sept. 14, 1922
Joe Steele, one of the respected old darkeys of Lenoir, died here last Monday night at the age of 68 years, and was buried at Freedman Wednesday. He worked on the streets here for years, and was a good old man.
