Kennedy Is Cited for Contempt of Court

By The Associated Press

Wilmington, N.C., Sept. 16—J.R. Kennedy, former United States deputy marshal, and more recently special guard of the Atlantic Coast Line railroad, has been cited for contempt of court for his alleged activity in inveigling C.B. Holleman, main witness in the case charging P.E. Dallas, assistant yardmaster, with the murder July 18, of H.J. Southwell, from the state.

Solicitor Woodus Kellum today introduced evidence to show that Kennedy persuaded Holleman to leave the state, and then delayed his return until too late to appear at the trial.
