Another still was captured this morning by Sheriff Glover and his deputies. The still was found about a mile from Black Creek and was a 40-gallon capacity one.
The still was found near the home of Joe Pender, colored, and a path led to his house. The sheriff looked around a bit and found several empty jugs that smelled of liquor in a corn crib, and a couple of barrles that had had some beer in them hidden in another place.
The officers found Pender and placed him under arrest for running an illicit distillery. Pender gave bond of $250 for his appearance here for trial tomorrow afternoon before Magistrate Pearson.
