Miss Ethel Smith Accidentally Shot

Rocky Mount, N.C., Oct. 6—Miss Ethel Smith, 16, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Smith, received injuries from which she died on the way to a hospital here this afternoon, and Miss Ruby Greene, 13, daughter of Mrs. Eula Greene, was slightly wounded. Both girls were shot when a gun said by police to have been in the hands of Amos West was accidentally discharged.
